Our Purpose
McKenzie Peterson, our Principal and Founder of Barca Financial Group, came through ‘the school of hard knocks’ thinking that he could ‘get rich quick’ only to hit financial and emotional rock bottom. In dire straits, and deeply embarrassed (if not mortified), McKenzie stepped back, re-arranged his thinking, and within 7 years, he was able to build a storm-proof portfolio consisting of a robust savings account, a budget strategy that allowed him to eliminate thousands of dollars in debt, build a strong credit score, own his home and numerous investment properties, and set himself up for retirement by having the necessary planning. There was no magic wand, just sound and deliberate steps. He started to share his journey with a small cohort of friends, and they too, commenced the ‘road to financial freedom’ through McKenzie’s methodology.

While we are a ‘fee for service’ organization, we are amenable to a variety of payment options, including group workshops. For couples, individuals and large families, our first 1.5-hour consultation is at no charge, where we will discuss your needs, processes and financial ability to pay to work with us.

McKenzie has walked the talk from thinking he ‘knew it all’ to being courageous enough to realize he didn’t. He worked out that ‘being rich’ is different than ‘wealthy’.
Within 7 years, he saved 10% of his earnings every time he was paid to save over $40,000. He has held positions with some of Greenville’s leading financial institutions, including commercial banking, credit underwriting, and mortgage servicing. But most importantly, he worked out a system that freed him financially to pay his debts and build a financial nest egg for his future, including purchasing several properties and having investments working towards his ultimate goal of early retirement.
